LCHS Science Fair


 
 
Several students participated in the annual Science Fair at the high school.  Pictured above are the students who won in each division and will be advancing to District competition.  Congratulations to all that competed in the event.  
Winners were Noah Stoltz, Quinn Stoltz, Mason Jordan, Grace McKnight, Emily Rowley, Seth Walker, Alan West, Shannon MacLeod, and Zach Blankenship.
LCHS Senior Laney Lewis Gets 1000th Point

     Senior Laney Lewis reached a 1,000 points for her high school career Monday, January 21, 2013 at Georgetown High School. Lewis only needed 8 points to reach the milestone coming into the game and was able to captivate the moment in the first few minutes after tip-off.

      Lewis is a four year varsity player. She has made S.H.L. All League as a sophomore and junior.  As a junior Lewis averaged 13 ppg., 11 rebs., 3 ast., 4 stl., and 2 blks., while shooting 44% from the floor.  She earned 3rdTeam District and helped her team to a 16-6 record. She has been a part of two Sectional Championship teams and a District Runner-up as a sophomore. This year as a senior Lewis is averaging 22 ppg., 12 rebs., 3 ast., 6 stl., 2 blk., and shooting 42% from the floor. Her team currently stands at 13-4 for the season with 5 games left before tournament play.

      Laney Lewis has committed to play collegiate basketball at a DII school in Cleveland. Ursuline College will welcome Lewis as a freshman in the 2013-2014 school year. Congratulations to senior Laney Lewis on accomplishing a tremendous feat! GREAT JOB LANEY!

Safe Routes To School


Parents of Lynchburg Clay Middle School students are invited to see the design of a sidewalk from the Village of Lynchburg to Lynchburg Clay Middle School. Safe Routes To School  is a federally funded effort to encourage Ohio's students to bike or walk to school in order to improve their health, academic performance, self confidence and at the same time reduce traffic and pollution near schools.

The meeting will take place January 23rd at 6:30 PM in the Lynchburg Clay Middle School Library. Please attend and offer input.


2012 Lynchburg-Clay Varsity Club Inductees

 Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools Board of Education recently inducted two area businesses into the Varsity Club program.  Each year the Board Members choose inductees based on support given to the district.  This year the inductees were David and Brenda Higgins, owners of Higgins Construction and Supply Company, and Bill and Sharon Sibrel, owners of Sibrel Excavation.  We wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to these wonderful individuals for all of their support.
