READING NEWS!!
We are now in Unit 3 of our Reading Series! We will study different genres of stories including realistic fiction, expository nonfiction, and some fantasy. We will concentrate on all long vowel sounds, mastering blends, contractions, and word endings. Also, we will work more with nouns and verbs. Skills that will be reinforced this unit are writing more descriptively, using good handwriting and punctuation. There will be a lot of study about Author's purpose for writing, story elements, and cause and effect.
