LC FFA Prepares For Golden Anniversary

Lynchburg-Clay FFA Prepares to Celebrate their Golden Anniversary!

Submitted by: Emily Roush, FFA Reporter

The Lynchburg-Clay FFA is preparing to celebrate its 50th Anniversary this May! The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter was chartered in 1965; however, prior to this there was a Lynchburg FFA Chapter.

The current FFA officers are preparing for the upcoming annual FFA awards banquet which will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 a.m. in the Lynchburg-Clay High School Gymnasium. The officers would like to highlight the local FFA history by creating a display of past Lynchburg FFA and Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter memorabilia during the banquet. Specifically, they are searching for jackets, pins, plaques, awards, degrees, etc. that can be borrowed for the evening for others to see and enjoy. Also, any pictures that may exist from various FFA activities would be greatly appreciated.

The officers would also like to invite all past Lynchburg and Lynchburg-Clay FFA Advisors, Presidents, State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree receiptants so they can be recognized during the banquet.

The banquet will consist of a catered dinner for all to enjoy; so if you plan on attending or would like additional information please contact Ms. Rhonemus with the FFA at the Lynchburg-Clay High School at (937) 364-2250 ext. 11209.
