Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter recently received word that they are ranked in the top 10 Overall chapters in Ohio! There are over 300 chapters in Ohio.

This prestigious ranking is the result of the National Chapter Award competition. Chapters are evaluated on nine FFA activities that are divided into three categories: Student Development, Chapter Development, and Community Development. Lynchburg-Clay FFA is ranked in the top 10 chapters in both the Chapter Development and Community Development Divisions. Lynchburg-Clay FFA is currently ranked as a Gold Medal Chapter, which is the highest ranking a chapter can receive.

Select members of the chapter will develop a presentation to give to a panel of judges on Thursday, May 1, 2015 at the Ohio FFA Center. The presentation will be based on the activities included in the application portion of the competition and must be ten minutes in length and will have a five minute question/answer section. Final placings will be determined at this time. Representing Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter in the Chapter Development Division is Abby Bedard and Alan West while Julie Arnett and Evan Bedard will be representing the chapter in the Community Development Division.

These students completed a lengthy application in February and learned in March that they are in the top 4 placings in the entire state of Ohio.

Chapter Treasurer, Alan West, and Secretary, Trenton Stadtmiller, will be recognized at the State FFA Convention for receiving a Gold Rating on their respective Officer books in February. Chapter Reporter, Emily Roush, received a Silver rating.

Five Lynchburg-Clay FFA members will be receiving their State FFA Degree.
