Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,
As I reflect back on 2020, my mind begins to become foggy. We have had so much thrown at us as a school community. Parents had to become teachers, our kids had to understand the process of a quarantine, toilet paper was a rare commodity and political issues united some and created a gap between others.
However, through all of these events I am again reminded of the high level of dedication and effort that our staff and parents put forth to make Lynchburg-Clay Middle School one of the best schools in the area. We have overcome several obstacles this year. We persevered and worked together as a community to do what is right for our children- to provide them the best education possible.
As we look ahead to 2021 I ask that we continue to work together to support our students. I encourage you to have frequent conversations with your child regarding his or her academic achievement in school. It is important to keep your child focused on academics for the entire year. Working together, all of our students will be successful this year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Casey T. Smith
Principal
