The LC Gold team competed in the State Envirothon competition June 3-5 at Hocking College. The team placed 1st on forestry, soils, and the oral presentation. They won 1st place overall in the state and will advance to the National Championship in Geneva, NY July 28-August 3.

The Envirothon team competed in regional competition on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Camp Oyo Boy Scout Camp in Scioto County. The team of Jayden Hixson, AbbiGail Manning, Abigail Shepherd, Gage Thompson, and Cloe Williamson placed 1st at the competition and will be advancing to the State Competition at Hocking College in June. The team is coached by Lara Hamilton.
