Lynchburg-Clay Boys Varsity Bowling Teams Takes Second Place
In Chillicothe Baker Bash
After missing the final cut by 1 team last year at the Chillicothe Baker Bash, this year’s Lynchburg-Clay’s Varsity Boys Bowling Team bowled their way into the finals. Placing fifth out of 11 teams after the 16 qualifying baker games, the team bowled the 4th seeded team in a best two out of three baker game format. LC won the first two games putting LC into the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, after winning the first game and losing the second, the team came back to win advancing LC into the finals. In an exciting finals after losing the first game, LC came back to win the second only to come up a few pins short in the final game. Both coaches, Shawn McLaughlin and Terri Fenner stated that both the boys and girls teams (who also made the final cut at the tournament) have drastically improved this season.
