LCHS Alumni Soccer Game Raises Funds for Local Charities

On Thursday evening representatives from local charity organizations, Blessings For Christmas, Inc. and Hope Emergency Program, visited the LCHS Athletic Complex to collect funds the Boys Soccer Program raised from their first annual Alumni Soccer Game that took place back on August 10th. Thanks to the alumni participants and the generous donations from family and friends in attendance that evening, the event was able to provide over $1000.00 in donations to the two organizations. On Thursday evening, Christy Roberts (Blessings For Christmas, Inc.) and Amanda Widmeyer (Hope Emergency Program) spoke to players and coaches about their respective organizations, what they provide to the area community, how donations and volunteer efforts can benefit their organizations to support the local community and the growing need of such efforts. The Soccer Program would like to thank Christy and Amanda for their time and encourage everyone in our community to visit each organization's FaceBook Page for information on how we can all donate and help one another in this community.
