Health Tips for the New Year
Get Sufficient Sleep
This is the most obvious, yet often ignored, health tip. Most of us need nearly eight hours of sleep every night, yet so many of us neglect this basic need of our body. Research has shown that long-term sleep loss can lead to health disorders like diabetes, obesity, hypertension, depression, and heart attack. Insufficient sleep also weakens your immunity, which makes your body vulnerable to illnesses. So if you find yourself catching the flu or a cold easily this season, your poor sleeping habits could be to blame.
Final Mile of The Flying Pig Marathon
 
The annual Flying Pig Marathon is rapily approaching. The Final Mile is on Saturday May 5th this year, I will be sending home more information soon about registration and other detail!!! 
Hoops for Heart
It's almost that time of year again! Hoops for Heart will be taking place in March, the assembly to kick things off will be Friday March 9th and the next week of classes will be our hoops for heart event in class. Lets try to raise as much money as we can for a great cause!! More information will be coming soon.
