LIBRARY HAPPENINGS

BOOK CARE TIPS
During the beginning of the school year, the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary students review general book care tips. Unfortunately, each school year, many books are lost or damaged. In order to take care of our books and help them remain in good condition, we ask that you please remember the following tips:
  • Have a "Special Place" at home for library books.
  • Make sure that your hands are clean before you begin reading.
  • Keep library books away from food or drinks.
  • Keep library books away from babies or pets.
  • Carry your library books to and from school in your backpack.
  • Carry books carefully.
  • Use a bookmark to mark your page.
Students are responsible for the library materials that they check out. Should a library book be lost, damaged beyond repair, or is no longer suitable for circulation, you will be asked to cover the cost to replace the item. If you paid for an item and it is later found, then your money will be refunded during the current school year. Please help us keep Lynchburg-Clay's library collection complete.
