CONGRATULATIONS MRS. GODBY

Mrs. Godby was presented with the "Distinguished Advocate for the Arts Award for an Educator," for the Southwest District of the Ohio Art Education Association. Mrs. Buller nominated her for this honor which is presented to a non- art educator who has made major contributions in advocating for the fine arts in Ohio schools. Mrs. Godby has offered continued support for the fine arts, and this can be seen in the yearly art shows and the displays throughout the school building.

First Lady Announces Launch of Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library in Highland County

HILLSBORO, Ohio – Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine today announced the launch of the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library (OGIL) in Highland County.

Any child from birth to age five can enroll to receive books from Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library. After enrollment, children will begin receiving a new book each month, at no cost to their family, until they reach the age of five.

named 2019 High Progress School of Honor by the Ohio Department of Education
Out of the 3583 public schools in the state of Ohio, only 71 schools received this distinguished honor of being named a High Progress School of Honor. 
Selection criteria included gains in student performance and the school's state report card grades in progress and gap closing.
